First, this movie was meant to be a lighthearted romance/comedy and in my opinion…it achieved it’s goal.  The story line was very predictable, but Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher managed to pull it all together delightfully.

This movie wasn’t meant to be some great work of art and we may not remember it next year…but it gave me a few much needed minutes to sit back…be entertained…and just laugh.

A definite date movie. 

Let me open this comment with the disclaimer that this movie is definitely…NOT FOR KIDS! It is a comedy filled with crude humor and male nudity… aimed squarely at an audience in the 18-45-age range…who aren’t easily offended.  In my opinion this movies is not in the same class as other Apatow projects like “Knocked Up”, and “Superbad”…but it is funny.  Overall this is a fun movie…the script is good…the characters are likeable…the acting was much better than I expected and I had a good time watching it…isn’t that what movies are all about!

Let me say this again…this movie is not for kids…not for people that get offended easily…probably not a first date kind of flick either. But for those of you that fall in that in-between category…go for it!

Leatherheads was not a bad movie…. it just was not a great one.
It had all the elements of a great movie…fabulous leading actors…with
strong performances, awesome costume design…true to the period,
wonderful music and visuals…but…it just was a slow mover as a movie.
Funny in parts…light hearted in others…I was entertained…just not as
much as I had hoped.
I did enjoy the movie and would recommend it…just not a favorite.

Definitely, Maybe

First of all…yes this is a chick-flick, it is entertaining and worth watching for no other reason than Ryan Reynolds…what a doll.  He knows how to keep the laughs coming.  At times it can be a little slow (could’ve been shorter)… a little unbelievable…and the ending was predictable…but all in all it’s a good feel-good movie and worth the price of your ticket.

You must love Jack Black in all his glory to appreciate this movie.Totally original and ridicules at the same time. Great if you justwant to laugh at…not critique movies.Jack Black and Mos Def ‘s comedic styles truly compliment each other…they make a good team.It wasn’t the funniest movie I’ve ever seen, but it is Jack Black..what more can I say. A very unusual movie… TRY IT…YOU JUST MIGHT LIKE IT!

Be Kind Rewind not Academy Award worthy…but worth your time, even if you decide to wait for the video.

“Charlie Wilson’s War” is an entertaining take on a piece of American history…you must remember…this is a movie…it was enhanced for audiences…made more entertaining by the writers and directors…was not intended to sway your political beliefs…if you can keep this in mind…you will enjoy this film. It is just a MOVIE!Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts are, as always fantastic…a safe bet for a good film it to make sure you have quality actors…and in my opinion…these two are quality.The movie held not only my attention from beginning to end…but my teenage daughter also enjoyed it. Face it…no matter what your politics are…funny is funny…and there are some real funny moments in this flick. The trick is to just sit back and enjoy…don’t take it seriously.Well worth the price of admission!

I went to this movie expecting little more than a Lifetime made for TV movie…wow, was I surprised! I totally disagree with the critics on this one…but, then again…I usually disagree with the critics! If you have ever loved and lost…not just in death…but, loved and lost the person you consider your soul-mate…you should be able to relate to this wonderfully entertaining movie. My 16 year old daughter and I laughed…cried…and got totally caught up in the story. Great characters that you come to love. Worth the cost of admission.

This movie is a loosely based parody of the Ray Charles and Johnny Cash movies. I saw this flick with low expectations and was surprisingly shocked when I ended up laughing over and over again. It was full of slapstick and crude humor so if you are into more of the Oscar worthy films, I would not suggest this one for you. If, you just want to sit back, forget the outside world and ride the comedy roller coaster…John C. Reilly will take you on a good long ride. It is silly and does drag in spots, but I can say that I am happy that I got to see it…would make a great rental.

Travolta is still on top!!!!  All I can say is…THIS MOVIE IS ONE FUNNY RIDE!  With all the terrible things going on in the news and you can feel yourself slipping into a continuous bad mood…this movie will give you a very funny reprieve. It is worth the price of admission!
