No Country For Old Men (2008)

No expectations with this one…wasn’t sure what to expect.  The movie started very slowly and just when I was settling in the for the drudgery, the movie kicked into high gear and pulled me along with it.

Llewelyn (Josh Brolin ) plays an easy going hunter that sumbles on a drug-deal gone bad and walks off with two-million dollars of drug money.  He is quickly on the run as the cattle-gun wielding bad guy chases him to the border of Mexico trying to get the money back.

I’m still not sure how to explain why I liked the movie.  I didn’t really hate the bad guy.  I didn’t really like the good guy.  I felt sorry for the peripheral characters who were injured in the fight but not too much.  Oh yeah, and the ending wasn’t all that satisfying but I actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit!  I would recommend it and I would watch it again.

Watch it yourself and let me know what you think.  I would love to hear your comments.
