If you are a classic Tim Burton fan, you will love this movie! I am very much a Tim Burton fan! One thing I must stress…this is a musical…based on the operetta Sweeney Todd. A wonderful platform for Johnny Depp , Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and Alan Rickman to show off their extensive talents.
This is a dark, bloody, gothic flick…as stated before…classic Tim Burton…and, in my opinion it is totally captivating. From the very start to the bloody ending…it held my attention and was more than worth the price of admission.
Not a movie for children. It has graphic violence…adult themes…adult humor…and lots of music.
